๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŒพ White-owned farms not allowed to export, says government

Farms that are considered "too white" will no longer be allowed to export to Great Britain or the European Union.

This is according to new regulations published in the state gazette by the anti-white South African government that requires farmers to adhere to "black economic empowerment" laws in order to obtain a permit to export agricultural products to Europe.

Examples of products affected by these new anti-white laws include: milk, cream, butter, fruit, nuts, sugar, jams, fruit purรฉe, fruit juices, yeast, table grapes and wine.

South African agricultural exports were valued at R240 billion (nearly $13 billion) last year. 20% of these exports went to the EU.

Only agricultural businesses with a yearly turnover of less than R10 million ($530 000) are excluded - the majority of agricultural exporters produce value on a scale much larger than this.

๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ Pro-Palestine protestors and police clash in Sea Point, Cape Town
A pro-Israel prayer meeting that was planned in Sea Point, Cape Town, on Sunday afternoon was cancelled after about 1 000 Palestine supporters descended on the promenade just after 11:00.

This was according to prayer meeting organiser, Vivienne Myburgh, who said an Israel supporter's finger was broken after someone apparently grabbed a flag from his hand. The event was cancelled by the police due to safety concerns, she said.

Videos going viral on social media showed police nyalas and officers in rows trying to maintain order, while a water cannon was seen spraying crowds holding Palestinian flags.

๐ŸŸฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Democratic Alliance Engages U.S. Lobbying Firm to Garner Congressional and Financial Support for 2024 Election Campaign

The main opposition party in South Africa, the Democratic Alliance contracted American lobbying firm KRL International to assist with lobbying efforts in Washington.

The lobbying firm is known for their work for Sub-Saharan African governments, and boasts members including former US Treasury executive John Donaldson, as well as the former US Foreign Affairs Committee staff director Tom Sheehy.

KRL has a track-record working in foreign election campaigns and were involved in Ghanaian elections, the South Sudan peace process, and more.

According to documentation filed under the US Foreign Agents Registration Act website, the scope of the work is summarized as an "advocacy campaign in Washington D.C., and other States on behalf of the DA" primarily to "build an understanding of the DAโ€™s policies and values in the US as the largest opposition party in the country"
The upcoming 2024 elections could be the most significant election since 1994. While electoral support for the ANC is declining according to polling data, the opposition has decided to ramp up their efforts to build a positive relationship with the United States' government ahead of the election:

๐Ÿ”นMay 2022, the party leader visited Ukraine to stand against "Russian aggression."

๐Ÿ”นJune 2022, the party wrote to the FBI's Pretoria Field Office to investigate the South African President for allegations of money laundering.

๐Ÿ”นJune 2023, the party sent a delegation to Washington DC to ensure that it was "understood that the ANC governmentโ€™s position on Russia is not unanimous."

๐Ÿ”นOctober 2023, the party criticised the ANC's position on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza

๐Ÿ”นNovember 2023, the party secured a seat at the table for the AGOA trade talks which began earlier this month. This was due to the party lobbying the US Trade Representative Katherine Tai.

๐Ÿ“ The 2024 South African general election is expected to take place in April or May of next year
๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Google Maps will no longer suggest route though crime hotspot Nyanga

The tourism department and Google signed a collaboration to promote South Africa as a "safe" tourist destination on Monday in an effort to boost tourism.

This comes hot on the heels of an attack on American tourist Walter Fischel in Nyanga about a week ago after the navigation system directed him through the suburb when he wanted to avoid traffic on his way to Simon's Town. He was shot in his face.

In August, British doctor Kar Hao Teoh, was also shot dead in Nyanga when he had to divert from the N2 to find an alternative route during a taxi strike in Cape Town.

๐Ÿ“ The population of Nyanga, Cape Town is 99% black. It is the number one carjacking spot in South Africa and was known for many years as the murder capital of the country.

๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ South Africa refers Israel to ICC for Gaza war crimes

During a press briefing on Wednesday, Ramaphosa revealed that the country had made a referral to the ICC while calling for a ceasefire and once again echoing the two-state model as a solution.

โ€œAs South Africa, we have accordingly, as many countries in the world see fit, [referred] this whole Israeli government action to the International Criminal Court. We have put in a referral because we believe that war crimes are being committed there and of course, we do not condone the actions which have been taken by Hamas. Similarly, we condemn actions which are under way and we think they warrant an investigation by the ICC,โ€ he said.

โ€œSouth Africa will be soon sending forward things like medicine and related products and that will also be extended to the West Bank and it will go beyond just politics. We will be collaborating with Egypt, who we have a very good relationship with, as well as NGOs,โ€ he said.

"Israel often avoided accountability in international forums."

It will be now up to the government to decide whether to implement the parliament's motion.
The South African government wants to "decolonise" education in order to align it with "African perspectives and experiences."

This will require them to challenge "colonial theories and practises" โ€” in practise the government started with this initiative years ago: 80% of students can't read with comprehension at the age of 10, nor can they recite the letters of the alphabet, and more than 50% can't do basic arithmetic (and that includes the teachers).
